Title

A Protector’s Weakness

Materials and Techniques

book board, plushies gutted and stitched together, felt, faux leather, paper, and yarn

My plushie book represents how stuffed animals are there to protect us as kids, however when you open up the book you’ll find a smaller, darker book that holds a razor blade, representing an enemy that the plushies can’t protect us from because it comes from inside the defenses. This represents how I actually can’t remember a whole lot of my childhood because towards the end of it I became depressed and suicidal. This even ties into how I would hide the blade I cut myself with inside a hollowed-out book. Despite how colorful and fun the book appears to be on the outside, it represents a much darker subject.
