Title

The Stitches that Build Me

Materials and Techniques

Whinnie the Pooh baby blanket, embroidery floss, paper, waxed linen (cover) Wine toned watercolor paper, cyanotype prints, typewritten word cutouts (pages)

My childhood is made up of countless moments that have shaped who I am today. When I look back, I can clearly see how far I have come—and how much farther I still have to go.

This book weaves together my youth and my current self. Prints of formative moments are paired with my present-day poetry, creating a conversation between past and present.

The cover is made from my soft white baby blanket, and the pages are toned with a deep, tannin rich wine—juxtaposing innocence and maturity.

All of these elements merge into a single narrative—my story. A story that is simple, deeply personal, and far from finished.
