Title

Return to the Trees

Materials and Techniques

Leather, found natural materials, waxed thread, mixed media

Return to the Trees invites readers into a tactile, sensory experience rooted in nature and play. Bound with leather and natural materials, the book reflects the textures and irregularities of the forest itself. It begins with a short narrative that guides the reader into a quiet return to the natural world, then unfolds into interactive pages designed for touch and exploration. Each spread
encourages hands-on engagement, echoing the ways we learn and connect through sensory experience, and suggesting that play and nature are deeply intertwined. I wanted it to have a childlike scrapbook sort of feel to it that feels so reminiscent of how we scrapbooked in childhood.
